Our Team have a wide experience of providing Mechanical & Electrical installations in Retail premises, with designs for electrical mains distribution, small power, Lighting, Comfort cooling, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms.
Our experience working in retail allows us to effectively manage co-ordination with Architects, Interior Designers, Corporate Branding Departments and negotiate with the Landlord, Head Lessor or Local Authority.
We have completed numerous projects within Shopping Centres, Railway Premises and Departmental Stores, where designs require compliance with specific fire safety regulations, linking of Retail units into central alarm systems, CCTV and Fire suppression sprinklers whilst, in some cases, adapting the clients standard layout to meet local requirements.

Retail design is a creative and commercial discipline that combines several different areas of expertise together in the design and construction of retail space, our Team have been part of been part of Retail design process for many years, working in the UK, main land Europe & USA.
The stop front must act as an advert for the store, so day and night time lighting forms a vital part of the display windows that allow shoppers to see into the space and the product inside.
The Retail space needs to be heated, cooled and ventilated to ensure it is comfortable for Customers and pleasant for Staff so they can work efficiently.

The use of LED lighting for example, helps to reduce the electrical energy consumption, heat gain for the air conditioning and potential damage to sensitive building & stock materials such as leather & jewellery.
In addition to the design of Shops, Retailers also need to consider Staff & Stock security, we have have advised many Clients on the systems available, which may include :-
- Video camera features: cloud storage; two-way audio; wide-angle lens; tilt / pan / zoom functions; motion-activated recording; and infrared capability for night surveillance
- Intruder, Fire & Flood alarm
- Glass break detection
- Electronic access control / tracking by employee and time, integrated with time and attendance
- Personal attack alarms, both inside & adjacent to the Retail store
- Ensuring all areas of the Retail store, inside and out, are well illuminated.
- Simple corner ceiling mirrors are inexpensive, help eliminate blind spots, and provide excellent deterrence.
- RFID or other security tag systems may be cost effective if the store carries a large amount of valuable merchandise
